Procurement Associate
Foundation Level
Tier 1 represents the beginners’ level in the procurement profession. It is designed for individuals beginning their careers and building foundational knowledge in procurement practices.
What You Need
Academic Requirements
The minimum academic qualifications for this level include a bachelor’s degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in any field, with a bachelor’s degree in Procurement being an added advantage. Alternatively, candidates with an Ordinary National Diploma (OND), Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE), or Secondary School Certificate may also qualify, depending on their experience level.
Experience Requirements
Experience requirements vary based on educational background. Candidates with B.Sc/HND qualifications are required to have three (3) years of employment, with at least two (2) years practicing procurement. Those with OND/NCE qualifications require five (5) years of employment, with at least three (3) years in procurement, while candidates with secondary school certificates need six (6) years of employment, with at least four (4) years in procurement practice.
Mandatory Training
Training is mandatory and includes the Nigerian module and Track A Modules 1 and 2 offered by Centres of Excellence.
